Welcome
Restaurant and pizza place “Herman” with bed and breakfast is a family business. Building was built in time when railway line Vienna-Trieste was built.
Back then this was the “Sudbann Hotel” in which Franz Ferdinand, the heir of the throne of austria, slept.
Our location is on the regional road Ljubljana-Reka in town Pivka. The restaurant is very close to the railroad station. Today it is newly adapted building with restaurant, which receives 70 guests. We have 8 doubble bedded rooms, with bathroom, wireless interent and LCD TV. Our guest are served with breakfast in a joint dinning room.
We have big selection of pizzas, warm lunches and meals on request.
Guests can visit the Park of Military History, which is only 1km away from us, Italian fortress on the hill Primož, and world-famous Postojna cave (10km). For hikers there is a nice starting point to the nearby peaks (Sveta Trojica, Osojnica, Snežnik, Vremščica) and hiking-biking path called Great Krpan’s trail and the intermittent lakes.

We offer overnight accommodation. The capacity of the guesthouse is 9 rooms. Two single rooms, family room for 4 people, 2 double rooms, 3 double rooms and 1 room for 3 people.
Daily lunches
There are 7 menus for daily lunches and a variety of pizzas each day Every day you have 7 daily hot daily lunches, pizzas from the wood-fired oven and burgers on Sundays we serve home Sunday lunches. Homemade fresh bread, seasonal homemade dishes ...
